One of a Kind Custom Made Antique Bench Made with Love!
This was refurbished and upcycled from an antique tiny bed frame. The antique bed frame was too small for even a small crib mattress so we worked our magic and turned it into a gorgeous bench!
I started by priming the piece with Wise Owl white primer and followed by two coats of W/O Limestone. I had yellow on my mind, so W/O Goldenrod went on and I washed it out with my continues water spray bottle to create a water color effect.
After applying a quick coat of matte clear coat OHE I decided an IOD furniture transfer would look fantastic on this piece.
So, you can I see I also added Iron Orchid Design furniture transfer called Painterly Flowers.
I top coated the raw wood on the bench and the whole piece actually with W/O Teakwood & Amber Furniture Salve. Let me just say, it smells so amazing! That looked and smelt wonderful but I wanted it a tad darker so I also added W/O Hemp Oil Furniture Wax, Black Walnut. To add some drama and detail, I blended some Black Walnut Hemp Oil to the rest of the piece as well. 35” x 18” x 45” height of seat is 24”
My husband George added the legs that he bought from The Home Depo to add height.
