IOD June, ODE to Henry Fletcher Transfer, and Magical Wise Owl, Drippy, Blended Paint! Just like with every piece, I prep it before priming. I clean the insides and outsides with a degreaser. After cleaning I lightly sanded with a 320 grit on my orbital sander, and of course cleaned it again. After priming with Wise Owl’s Dark Gray primer, I sprayed a coat of black gloss Rust-Oleum spray paint to act as a primer and a sealer. I knew before hand that I was planning on using multiple colors and a lot of water to wash the paint and create a drippy magical washed-out effect. The black spray paint will not wash away, so if I was to use to much water, the black would peek though and not go all the way to the bare wood. I used multiple layers of Wise Owl CSP, Black Cherry, Siren Song, Vintage Duck Egg, Tourmaline and Limestone. I also used Wise Owl’s Heavy Metallics, Pearl, Mercury and Copper. Last but definitely not the least, the moment I was looking forward to! I was able to add the brand-new Iron Orchid Design Transfer called June, ODE to Henry Fletcher! Before adding the transfer, I used W/O’s Satin Varnish. After the transfer was applied, I re-top coated with W/O’s One Hour Enamel, Mette.
